Landscapes

Photographing landscapes is my favorite activity, I try to shoot my landscape images with as less of human impact as possible.

Sometimes placing a person in the frame on purpose can add to the atmosphere or creates a better perspective on the item of interest.

Wild life

Maybe the most difficult part in my photography. Wild life move all the time, most of the time the animals are very shy, you have to find them and work on the right camera settings in a hectic situation. Not to speak about the fact you need the right camera lens. (i am saving to buy…)

I see a lot to improve in my wildlife images, but like to present them anyway.

Waterfall

Waterfalls are great to photograph, when you use the right settings you can create a special atmosphere.

As with landscapes placing a person in the frame can give a different perspective on the item of interest.

Forest

In the forest and with the right conditions there is a whole new possibility of creating a perfect image.

Mist helps a lot, until now I wasn’t able to shoot in those conditions enough, since I just discovered forest photography.

I very much like a painterly look of the image and I hope to develop more skills, since we have some nice forests in The Netherlands.

Night

Photographing cityscapes is not easy for me because I want to create a perfect world with as less of a human impact as possible.

Obviously city’s are created by men, but at night I found out that I can create what I want.

Reflection

Working with reflections is great and doing this I have the feeling that I am able to create something that fits my search for perfection or something wich reflects my emotion.

My drone gives me the opportunity to share the birdsview.

When I was actively flying aircraft in the past, I was not into photography as I am now. I saw great compositions on my tours. Even when I was able to photograph, I couldn’t concentrate on my camera settings because I had to keep the aircraft in the air and you pass the subject very fast so the two don’t go together.

Drones are great, they stay in their place and on level while hovering so you can choose the right setting or concentrate on the composition.

Fly drones with care, don’t fly near airports or within city’s and obey air law! Be aware of aircraft and helicopters, so stay below their level ! When you want to fly drones professionally, get a drone Pilot License.

The skydiving image obviously was not made with a drone but with a camera on my helmet while jumping with them.

I was jumping in great places and out of great aircraft in the past wich where very photogenic, but had no interest in photography whats so ever back then. Recently I bought a helmet with a camera so who knows more of those will come in the future.
